A fanfiction site will not allow me to upload the story unless I change it to either an html or change the font to plain word text.

Open the word document in Microsoft Word. Click on File --%26gt; Save As . Select the "Save as type" as "Web Page, Filtered(*.htm,*.html) and thats it. it would create a html file with images and other files in misc directories
